Sometimes - not often, but sometimes I hang up my wedding/boudoir hat and call up a friend to shoot just for fun. Enter Chris. Last week we met up to grab some quick shots around Hull. He showed me a sweet scenic spot and I showed him just how handsome he is. Win win.

I’m consistently blown away at how creative people are. Troy proposed to Sherry using this sweet skateboard while out with friends. How cute and original is that?!
It may have been a surprise but these two aren’t; both so laid back and down to earth - just my kinda folk.
How were you proposed to? Any wild or creative ways to pop the question??
If you could imagine a real life version of a Nicholas Sparks movie, Allison and Tristan are just that.
Roll equal parts bubbly, charming, funny, sweet and smooshy into one and there you have it - a couple beautiful people with infectious personalities. Photographing couples in love has to be the best part of my job, not to mention the easiest. C’mon - it’s pretty much impossible to NOT capture a cute moment between them!
Its not often I get to do family sessions with the only the girls.
We headed to the Wakefield Mill to grab a mini session with Mandi and Cassandras’s mom; a belated Mothers Day gift idea. Even though this was just a mini, my face was so sore from laughing with this bunch! It still blows my mind that this is my job! - and I’m so grateful that awesome families like this invite me along to take in their visits and comedy shows!
There’s an incredible amount of trust that goes into at-home sessions - whether it’s boudoir or family or lifestyle in general. Letting someone into your home to photograph the (extra!)ordinary is quite a responsibility and privilege, really.
Not long after their second little man was born, Laura and Merlin invited me over to photograph their family and some sweet little brother moments. It’s still kind of surreal that this is my job; becoming buddies with toddlers, watching mamas swaddle newborns, forehead kisses between couples in the kitchen…it’s pretty wild!
Here are just a few of the photos I grabbed that snowy spring day in March. Thanks again Laura and fam for having me over!!
Jenn and Alain have a household that rivals the funniest/goofiest sitcom there is. It’s loving chaos with a healthy dose of toddler giggles and squeals, sneaky kisses and puppy breath.
I’ve known Jenn for years and years and she hasn’t changed one bit. She’s still the most down to earth, hilarious woman ever. And it’s been said over and over again throughout my blogging and social media posts, but I cannot believe this is my job. That people pick me and let me hang out with them and their families, capturing those funnysweetloving half seconds that will mean the world to them.
Take a look - bet you can’t stop yourself from smiling! :)
Clearly the most Canadian engagement session I’ve done so far!
While I’m not the most graceful person (understatement of the century!!), meeting Sabrina and Derek at their local hockey rink was by far one of the cutest ideas I’ve heard of in a while.
Here are just a few of these two lovebirds; and guys, I somehow managed to NOT wipe out! Win-Win!
The Gatineau Valley is one of the most picturesque places in the fall. That’s a fact.
Getting to take family photos of two local families I’ve known forever was hilarious - my cheeks always hurt after spending time with any of them! Here’s a handful of their adorable wee ones with them; check out those colours!
I love couples sessions. The real shit. The 'don't you dare do the dishes in the sink or pick up the kids toys' sessions. No makeup artists or lighting gear. Just hanging out on the couch or floor even, nuzzles and kisses and trying to keep the dog out of the frame.Read More

As a small town creative, I get just how hard it is to put yourself out there. And when you do, then what? Who's going to support you? Who's going to see you?Read More
I absolutely do not care what you say or think; every, EVERY woman/man wants to feel sexy. It doesn’t matter if they’re 21, 45, or 72. Every single last one of us has wanted to feel attractive, to have someone look twice, or to be able to look in the mirror and like what you see.Read More
